Does anyone know of the laws regarding venomous reptiles in CA? I've looked at dept fish and game and there's too much info to decifer how to proceed. I must have a Rhino Viper in my future!!!

Wed, September 24, 2008 - 5:57 PMNot in CA you won't, at least legally. CA has an exotic animals permit which is next to impossible to obtain.
Here's everything you need to know:

In short, the only way you can obtain this restricted animals permit is if you have 2 years experience working HANDS ON with venomous at a zoo or other AZA accredited organization.
Secondly Rhinos make terrible first hots. Much experience must be gained prior to getting one. (and I'm not talking about handling. this is a VERY "sensitive" animal).
Many Rhino's die, they think it's fun. Most ppl's first Rhino dies. -
